OMG HELP!

Having problems tuning in to listen to the cast? No problem! This section is to help you tune in to enjoy our programming. First off, a note: Let's do a little bit of troubleshooting for you. Please read this entire section before emailing us and asking for help.

1. Try clicking on the server you want to listen to. It should open in an audio program. If not, try the next steps:

2. What operating system do you run? Windows? Macintosh? (Macintosh help coming soon)

Windows

1. Make sure your playlist is open. (the top part showing is the control section of Winamp. The lower part is the playlist.)
2. Click the ADD button. Go to the URL option. Click on URL.
3. Type the radio link into the URL field and click OK. The station should start buffering in Winamp, so DON'T CLOSE IT. Wait until it buffers and begins to play

Problems:

Q. It keeps kicking me out/skipping/buffering! What's wrong?
A. Depending on the bitrate the announcer is broadcasting at, you may not be able to listen with a dialup modem connection. Most of us cast at 24 or 36 kilobits, which should be fine for 56k people. However, some cast higher. If you can't tune in, it may simply be your internet connection. We will try to offer bitrates for slower connections.

Q. I seem to be a minute or two behind the stream!!! Why can't I catch up?
A: The way the stream is designed is that you hear it a bit after the actual comments are made and after the actual song is played. This cannot be fixed. Depending on your internet connection, you may be 30 seconds to 5 minutes behind on the cast.

Q. How do I know who's on air and which server is on?
A. All of those questions can be answered in our IRC chatroom.

Have a question that was not addressed here? Ask us, and we will be happy to add it here.
